The SNM01 snow depth gauge adopts laser recognition and distance measurement technology for snow, overcoming the shortcomings of sensors such as ultrasonic waves, electromagnetic waves, and weighing that cannot recognize snow, thus achieving extremely high detection accuracy. The snow depth measuring instrument adopts the principle of phase laser rangefinder to measure the depth of snow. Phase is the frequency of the radio band used for laser rangefinder, which modulates the amplitude of the laser beam and measures the phase delay generated by the modulated light traveling back and forth to the measuring line once. Then, based on the wavelength of the modulated light, the distance represented by this phase delay is converted. By using indirect methods to determine the time required for light to travel back and forth through the measuring line, the snow depth can be calculated. In addition, the snow depth gauge is installed on the gimbal and can rotate 360 ° to measure snow depth at multiple points on the ground, thus obtaining more accurate snow depth measurements. This device can be used as an independent automatic snow depth monitoring and alarm system, or networked to form a diversified network monitoring.
